Appreciation for our CEO and Director of Programs, Community
Dear Integrity Institute community,
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we want to share news of two leadership transitions at the Institute. Alba Cruz-Hacker is transitioning from her role as Chief Executive Officer, and April Lat is concluding her tenure as Director of Programs - Community. Both depart with our deep gratitude as they begin new professional journeys.
Alba joined the Institute at a pivotal moment for our organization and our field. She brought clarity, conviction, and a strong belief in what this community could accomplish together. She advanced our programs and partnerships in service of the Institute’s mission.
Throughout her tenure, Alba has been an exceptional partner to this Board. She led with care, integrity, and purpose, bringing both rigor and humanity to the work. She understands that the Institute’s impact depends on meaningful results, strong relationships, and a clear commitment to building a digital information ecosystem that helps individuals, societies, and democracies thrive.
April has been at the heart of our community work. She helped our members find one another, share what they know, and build the trust that makes collective work possible. Her dedication to our members, and the warmth and thoughtfulness she brought to every program and conversation, have shaped what it means to be part of this community.
We are grateful for Alba and April for their leadership and for their contributions to the Institute and the field. We wish them both every success in their next roles and look forward to seeing them continue to help shape a safer, more trustworthy digital world.
