Report celebrates the Institute’s impact and achievements in 2025

We are excited to share our 2025 Annual Report. It tells the story of a year in which practitioner expertise made a real difference in the field:

  • Nine regulatory advisory engagements and 15 briefings, including for the European Commission and Ofcom. The Institute was among the most-cited organizations in the Commission's consultation on AI transparency.

  • A new program advising US state lawmakers, which offers legislators expertise on fraud, child safety, AI governance, and more.

  • Partnerships with civil society to protect young people using AI companions and to prevent tech-facilitated gender-based violence at the source.

  • Confidential Integrity Clinics that help organizations on the front lines deal with online harms.

This report is a reminder of how rare and valuable this kind of independent expertise is when it comes from people who have actually done the work. Thank you.
